OK, the 2012 original had a coherent story, a decent script, Matthew McConaughey, and Channing Tatum’s dancing. The surprise hit was directed by Steven Soderbergh and was nicely self-contained. By comparison, this flaccid cash-grab has Channing Tatum’s dancing.

Repetitive, grinding male-stripper routines alternate with some of the most unbelievably vapid dialogue to ever reach the screen. Of course, the target audience (and you know who you are) doesn’t give two hoots about such things as dialogue. This bachelorette party of a movie is Showgirls with the F-bomb. Not kinetic, not funny, not even sexy. (115 min)
