This year’s Tokyo Game Show was a low-key affair by recent standards, with few surprises beyond the number of totally pointless games on display. However, a special edition PlayStation 3 is set to have geeks across the land firing up their eBay accounts and licking their lips in anticipation of profit.
The ¥41,600 Final Fantasy XIII (yawn) PS3 will arrive in December with the game of the same name, a 250GB hard drive, and a tacky white paint job with action scenes splashed across it. Given that the console won’t be sold outside Japan, we strongly recommend snapping up a couple and making a quick buck from overseas nerds via your auction website of choice.
