The latest entrant in the goofy awards season took place in Odaiba when the 23rd Best Dressed Eyes Awards were handed out to those celebrities who look “cool” in glasses. This year’s recipients are (left to right) model Rinka (in the sunglasses category), TV announcer Kazuo Tokumitsu (culture), resort developer Yoshiharu Hoshino (business), comedian Daisuke Miyakawa (entertainment) and 16-year-old actress Umika Kawashima (Special Judges’ Award). Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshito Sengoku won in the political category but was unable to make the ceremony.
