Got a travel short up your sleeve? The Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia, one of the biggest shorts fests in the continent, is currently accepting submissions for it’s Let’s Travel! Project, supported by Japan Tourism Agency.

Themes are “it’s great to travel,” “I want to go to Japan,” plus, this year—in the wake of 3/11—“re-vitalize and bring a smile to Japan through travel.”

Last year 86 shorts were submitted, out of which seven were screened at Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2011. Tourism Hokkaido “City” won the Best Short Award.

Get your road movie in by Jan 16 for a chance to screen at SSFF & ASIA 2012 in June. Award-winning shorts will also have opportunities to be shown overseas as part of Japanese tourism promotion.
