Talking of Disney—and how passé that whole scene is in 2011—how about a trip to Korea, where you’ll find a land run not by annoying rodents, but by cuddly little robots?
Note, please, that we’re not talking about the entire country just across the water, but about Incheon Robot Land—a theme park slated to open next year. In case the name doesn’t give it away, this government-backed scheme will lure tourists with a showcase of Korea’s technological might, while doubling as an incubator that aims to attract the world’s finest robotics developers.
And, as if to prove they’re serious, Robot Land’s planners have enlisted some heavy hitters to build the theme park: Landmark Entertainment Group, whose body of work includes Terminator and Jurassic Park attractions for Universal Studios, and more shiny Vegas casino spectaculars than you can shake a diamond candelabra at. Color us excited.
