Recession and disaster be damned, the folks who run tried-and-tested Daikanyama club Air are opening a massive new discotheque and performance space smack in the middle of Shibuya. Boasting a 1,500 capacity, Sound Museum Vision swings open its doors this Friday with a party featuring a slew of Japan’s best-recognized DJs. The high-profile launch continues the following weekend with an appearance by the Fac51 Hacienda crew, whose party to feature Basement Jaxx (pictured) was canceled in March following the quake.
