Learn to make little edible works or art

Food meets design as Norimaki Art Juku offers lessons on how to roll sushi in a way that reveals little edible works of art when sliced. Imagine your loved one’s surprise when they open their bento and see a panda face or other cute design written in rice. These babies take time and effort to master but are well worth it. An hour-long class will yield one roll, but of course you can eat the result and take home the recipe. Try the intermediate class to create your own design. English-speaking guide Maki-sensei is available to give hands-on help when needed, and third graders and up are welcome, making classes fun for the whole family. Classes are held at DC English School’s dining kitchen (2-18-20 Matsuhara, Setagaya-ku; nearest stn: Meidaimae). For a schedule, e-mail sushi_info@yahoo.co.jp (English OK).
