Ruki, oft-begloved vocalist for visual-kei quintet the Gazette, is known as well for his fashion and makeup sense as he is for his velvet voice. So it comes as no surprise that he’s the mastermind behind new organic cosmetic line Vital Material. As might be expected of someone who wears a fair amount of maquillage for concerts and photo shoots, his line focuses on organic and harmonizing fragrances that are gentle and pleasing for the skin. Vital Material’s aromatic hand creams (50ml, ¥2,484) come in Jasmine, Bergamot and Damask rose scents, while Bergamot-scented hand soap (300ml, ¥2,484) and lemon fragrance sanitary gel (50ml, ¥1,620) might be more suited to the non-makeup-minded.
