A young man struggling to pay his dad’s medical bills assumes the identity of an OD victim he had overheard talking about a lucrative business deal. But he’s a tad dismayed to learn upon arriving at the appointed gothic mansion that he has apparently signed up to participate in an elaborate, circular game of Russian roulette where wealthy clients bet on the outcome. It’s not bad for this kind of dark, macho thing, and with a tough-guy cast that includes Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Ray Winstone, 50 Cent, Michael Shannon and even Ben Gazzara, it’s puzzling that it has been so globally ignored.
