Now in its seventh year, the African Festival Yokohama aims to bridge the cultural gap between the world’s second largest continent and Japan. The three-day event is a cornucopia of activities and performances, all representing a multitude of African nations and their individual cultures. Artists from the Congo, Tanzania, Senegal and more will take to the stage for live performances and there will be a fashion show displaying the rich colors and styles from across the land mass. There will also be dancing, djembe drum workshops, and of course, plenty of mouth-watering dishes to tantalize visitors as they roam around all of the other attractions at Yokohama’s Red Brick Warehouse.
