Much has been written about traditional Japanese tattoo culture, but what of the current generation of artists? Amazing Grace offers the chance to check out a bevy of young Tokyo tattooists imprinting bodies—and maybe even come away with a tattoo yourself. Among the artists represented are 13’ Needle Tattoo Studio, whose full-body tats bring traditional Asian imagery into the realm of the psychedelic; Tattooer Tetsuya, whose artwork ranges from fearsome dragons to erotic women; and Yen Tattoo, whose precise images take in everything from the tribal to the decorative. Rounding out the festivities will be a slew of house DJs, live painters and slinky pole dancers.Amazing Grace
