“Anikura” is club music with a twist of cutting-edge Japanese subculture in the form of anime tracks, video game music, idol songs and other otaku genres. Founded by French-American Tokyo resident Xavier Bensky, AniCrush!!! waves the Akiba banner with an able DJ crew and high-caliber guest DJs, VJs and idols. For Vol. 3, cult icon, voice actress and indie rock artist Tomoe Tamiyasu will perform alongside guest DJs Otouchan and Jun, as well as guest VJ Kitune. Bensky says he hopes 2014 is the year he brings the AniCrush!!! experience to a wider audience—the event is considering several invitations to perform at anime conventions abroad.
