If you’re interested in contributing to a young adult fiction anthology supporting those affected by the tsunami and Fukushima crisis in Japan, or know someone who might be, then one of our readers is asking for your help in spreading the word:
Tomo 友 (Japanese word for ‘friend’) is a young adult anthology of
fiction set in or related to Japan. Submissions are invited up to
5,000 words, deadline August 15, 2011.Tomo will feature original short fiction in English by authors with a
significant connection to Japan by heritage or experience, as well as short fiction in translation (Japanese to English) by Japanese
authors. All proceeds from the sales of the Tomo anthology will go to organizations that assist teens in the quake and tsunami hit areas.
