Established in 2010 to aid victims of the Haiti earthquake, the online Charity Print Auctions has been repurposed to help survivors of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami with bidders participating in eBay-style auctions. The Haiti relief effort raised over $30,000 from 1,000 bidders. The diverse groups of photographers involved are making an extra effort this time by paying for printing and shipping themselves, meaning that 100 percent of the price of the print goes directly to the British Red Cross’s efforts in Japan.
