Celebrate Father’s Day on June 16 by calling attention to your Old Man’s old boy. The Sharefun is named after a combo of oshare (stylish) and fundoshi (the nappy-like groin holder you’ve seen wrapped around a sumo warrior’s family jewels). The standard Sharefun (¥2,940) is offered alongside the glitzier “more design” series (¥3,465), and even one for the kids (¥3,465). If Big Daddy lives up to his name, upgrade your standard fundoshi to a roomy version for no extra cost. Check out their website for info on how to go to the bathroom when snugly enwrapped.
Metropolis is giving away three Sharefun (two ladies’ and one men’s). Email giveaway@metropolis.co.jp with your name and address, and tell us which matsuri is typically graced by folks in fundoshi.
