Contemporary dancer and choreographer Zan Yamashita follows up an appearance at the Postmainstream Performing Arts Festival with a new piece in Yokohama. Fascinated by the relationship between movement and words, Yamashita is noted for having dancers perform to texts that are either read aloud or projected on screens. For his first production at ST Spot in eight years, the choreographer presents Daikouzui (“The Big Flood”), featuring veteran dancer Tatsuya Nakamura as well as new faces Yoshimi Kanbayashi and Machi Miyahara.
