Before Skrillex and his three Grammys, there were the likes of UK dubstep innovators Pinch and V.I.V.E.K. The pair head up the 2012 installment of Drum & Bass Sessions’ Dubstep Warz nights at Unit. Pinch (Rob Ellis) delivered one of dubstep’s best-known opuses in the form of darkly mystical “Qawwali,” and he’s just released the 61st installment of legendary London club Fabric’s live-mix CD series. Making his Japan debut, London’s V.I.V.E.K brings old-skool dub stylings to his own take on modern dubstep.
