If Christmas and New Year’s have left you feeling about ten years worse for wear, these drinks might help set you back on the straight and narrow. Hailing from the UK, Firefly Tonics use natural ingredients—fruit, herbs, teas and whatnot—rather than “dodgy chemicals” (their words), providing a welcome alternative to Red Bull and suspicious genki drinks. At this time of year, we can see ourselves benefiting from a few swigs of “Wake Up,” made with peach, grapes, green tea, kola nut and yerba maté; “Detox,” with lemon, lime, ginger, nettle and dandelion; or “Recharge,” with pomegranate, lime, elderflower, kola nut and chili. They aren’t the cheapest drinks of their kind on the market, but—whisper it—they’re probably the best.
¥525 each. Available from branches of Natural Lawson, Dean & Deluca and select international supermarkets.
