With the transition towards life after corona and the rapid recovery to new conditions from inside and outside of Japan, art fairs are beginning show a sign of recovery. In the last few years following 2022 galleries from around the world are back to exhibiting across the country. The art industry as a whole is gradually regaining its former vitality.
The cancelation of Art Fair Tokyo due to the spread of Covid in 2020 led to a decline in visitors. However in 2021 sales reached 3.08 billion yen. Following that year, 3.36 billion yen* in 2022. Marking an all time high in our record as well as offering us an opening for a positive change. (*From Art Fair Tokyo 2022 Report)
