Legendary British rock band Deep Purple returns to Japan with the Mad in Japan Tour, bringing one of hard rock’s most influential groups back to Tokyo for a highly anticipated performance. The Deep Purple Tokyo concert will take place at Nippon Budokan on April 11, 2026.

Known for classic songs such as “Smoke on the Water,” “Highway Star” and “Child in Time,” the band has remained a defining force in rock music for more than five decades.

Nippon Budokan is one of Japan’s most iconic live music venues. Since opening in 1964, the Budokan has hosted historic performances by artists including The Beatles, Queen and Bob Dylan.

The Tokyo show is part of Deep Purple’s Japan tour, which will also include performances in Osaka and Nagoya later in the week. Fans attending the Tokyo concert can expect a setlist featuring the band’s biggest hits alongside material from their more recent albums.
