Hands On Tokyo is a non-profit organization dedicated to making meaningful contributions to local communities in Tokyo. All of their volunteer activities are accessible to both Japanese and English speakers and they host a variety of events where you have the chance to make a change!
Super Diversity Volunteering is a program running in April for elementary and junior high school students living in the Aoyama area to interact with the elderly through fun volunteer activities.
Through this program, Hands On Tokyo aims to create a “super-diverse” community where children of all sorts of backgrounds, ethnicities, and physical abilities, can volunteer in their communities and where intergenerational interactions can be encouraged.
During this event, volunteers will have the chance to support elementary and junior high school students in their activities, assist junior leaders, and participate in the craft projects.
The event will include an introduction to Children’s day as well as a Koinbori Crafting session with fun music and chances for interesting conversation.
