Tokyo photographer Takaaki Sano presents Shiki, a contemplative show in Daikanyama’s salon gallery gig. Blending photography with his first moving-image work, Sano explores the boundaries between the visible and invisible, the conscious and the unconscious. The title Shiki plays on Japanese homophones—四季 (seasons), 識 (consciousness), 死期 (mortality), 史記 (history), 式 (form/system)—inviting visitors to sense time’s cycles and beauty’s fragile edges.
