“Glittering Metallic Lines: Signals of Beauty”

Experience the fleeting beauty hidden in everyday life through the eyes of artist Takashi Wakamatsu. Known for his unique technique using fine, metallic incisions, Wakamatsu captures ephemeral phenomena and transforms them into shimmering signals of beauty.

His works, reminiscent of water or air, feature radiant lines that dance across each piece—inviting viewers to rediscover the subtle elegance that surrounds us.

After debuting in France in 2019, Wakamatsu’s work has captivated audiences in Singapore, Dubai, and New York. Most recently featured at VOLTA BASEL 2024, his installation-style pieces will now illuminate Ueno’s forested grounds with a dynamic play of light and form.
