The Tokyo Spring Music Festival returns in 2026 as one of Japan’s largest classical music events. The festival takes place across several venues in Ueno Park and brings internationally recognized orchestras, soloists and conductors to Tokyo.

The festival offers a variety of concert series, including the “Tokyo Spring Festival Wagner Series,” which presents one of Wagner’s operas in concert format every year. The “Tokyo Spring Festival Puccini Series” and the “Choral Arts Series” feature large orchestras and choirs. These include “Museum Concerts” held in art museums and museums brimming with a different charm than concert halls. “Tokyo Spring Festival for Kids” is specially for preschool children to high school students and “Music in the City of Cherry Blossoms” is a series of free mini-concerts that bring music to the streets with the cherry blossoms.

Over the past 20 years, it has nurtured a strong connection with the people of Ueno and it continues to enrich the arrival of spring in Tokyo with various musical sounds.
