Mime masters Ketch! and Hiro-pon celebrate ten years of avant-garde physical comedy with an extended Japan tour. While much local comedy is of the head-slapping, pelvis-swinging variety, Gamarjobat (“hello” in Georgian) have you laughing with them, not at them. For their Tokyo engagement, the duo will be reinventing their ludicrous lovers’ tale, Boxer, and presenting numerous short sketches. With decades of mime experience between them, Ketch! and Hiro-pon formed Gamarjobat in 1999, and have since become stalwarts of the theater festival circuit, performing in 26 countries worldwide.
