Ryohei Kondo’s dance-music phenomenon Condors follow up last winter’s UFO-themed show with a new piece created for the Setagaya Public Theatre’s Kodomo no Gekijo kids’ program. Hungry Like a Wolf is a guest-star-studded spectacle based on Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs, featuring song, puppet theater, video, text and, of course, the Condors’ signature men dancing in high school uniforms. The South American-born Kondo, who founded Condors with college mates a decade ago, parodies anything from Japanese salarymen to American beach culture, even spinning off a rock band that performs to flocks of screaming girls.
