Forget dragging a generator with you when you go out busking. The Eneloop Music Booster, which goes on sale here at the start of next month, is tailor-made for itinerant musicians and guerrilla giggers. This rechargeable 9V battery pack comes with a couple of outputs that can be used to power effects pedals, amps and multi-track recorders. Though it’s ideal for impromptu street gigs, it might appeal to the live house crowd too: voltage-boosting technology prevents the power fluctuations you’d get with regular batteries, thus ensuring consistent sound quality. The fact that it’s also eco-friendly is, naturally, a major added plus.
Eneloop Music Booster, price TBA. Available from Mar 4 at major electronics and music stores.
