With nu-metal group Linkin Park, hoary hard rockers Whitesnake, and Christian glam metal outfit Stryper all on this year’s bill, long-running metal fest Loud Park is taking a step out in new directions. It would have been rather tricky to top last year’s bill of Ozzy Osbourne and Motorhead for pure metal-ness—so promoter Creativeman seems not to have even attempted it. Instead, Linkin Park will be flogging their new album A Thousand Suns, which shows the band in a more progressive, electronic state of mind, on a bill that also extends to such acts as Arch Enemy and The Darkness.
