In connection with the ongoing “Irving Penn and Issey Miyake: Visual Dialogue” exhibition at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT, Mark Holborn, a noted writer, editor, and publisher will give a lecture in English on the creative synergy between the eminent photographer and world famous fashion designer. Holborn has written three books on Japanese culture, has worked with prominent artists and photographers such as James Turrell, Robert Mapplethorpe, Irving Penn and Richard Avedon, and has collaborated with the Miyake Design Studio for many years. The lecture, which should prove fascinating for anyone interested in fashion, photography, or art in general, will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday, February 11, and is available free to exhibition visitors.
