Tribal fusion goes live at Mekka, hosted by DJs Ahimsa and Tel Quel at cozy Bar Orbit in Sangenjaya. Aussie DJ Ahimsa says the pair created the event to try to bring a new style of nightlife experience to Tokyo. The night blends tribal and world music DJ sets with live tabla, sitar and didgeridoo complimented by electronic music and bellydance performances. This weekend’s edition will boast live shows by Dreams of Widnes and Ospovani as well as performances by bellydancers Nashwa and Fauzeeya served up with freshly made vegan snacks.
