We went to Kiuchi Brewery in Ibaraki—the home of Hitachino Nest craft beer—and created a batch of brew-on-premises malty pops. We chose our own unique recipe, including the hops, malt, yeast, herbs and flavor (we went with a slightly citrusy, wheat-style beer) and then got to making it. After completing the job, it took four weeks for the good folks at Kiuchi to send us our very own Metropolis Summer Ale. The perfect ice-cold beverage for those dog days!
