International band smashes the Tokyo circuit

With a hodgepodge of influences from Led Zeppelin to John Schofield, Moss is the latest international band to make an impact on the Tokyo band circuit. While global in nature, Moss has deep roots in Tokyo: frontman Erik Reiff grew up here to German/Japanese and Filipino parents. After finishing international school, he moved to England to study at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Between 2007-2011, Reiff played around the UK, Japan, Germany and Cambodia in countless venues including Liverpool’s legendary Cavern Club. Moss has just released its debut outing, Pepe’s Dream, a heady confection of indie, folk, rock and progressive leanings. It was recorded in just seven days and “mistakes” were left uncorrected to give it a true, live sound.
