It seems that men aren’t the only ones who don’t return phone calls the morning after. When Spa! magazine conducted a survey of 100 women in their 20s and 30s, they were surprised to find that over a third were guilty of, ahem, humping and dumping a guy. “It was just casual sex” was the most commonly given explanation (34%), followed by “I wasn’t expecting to go all the way” (28%) and “After we did it, I realized I didn’t really like him” (20%). Ooh, cruel. Admirably, only three percent said they ended up in the sack because they were drunk. The article includes six true confessions from female jilters, which make for hilarious—and toe-curling—reading. One woman went for drinks with a coworker and ended up back at his place, only to be told “ato wa omae ga ugoite” (lit. OK, now you can do all the work). Another’s one-night stand went south when her partner stuck on a DVD of a romantic movie and timed his advances with the film’s kissing scenes. Eugh.
