They say: “[the] shape makes it appear as if the bookmark is melting.” We say: dude, is your book bleeding? Kyouei Design’s liquid bookmark is just the thing for Halloween season. Slap one of these babies on your tome of choice, pull it out while riding the train, and just watch your fellow passengers’ eyebrows rise. Designer Koichi Okamoto pours the silicon for every one himself, meaning that each is unique. Just to add to the creep factor, the bookmarks come shrink-wrapped in a plastic container that makes them look like some kind of medical sample. If it’s all too much, choose one of the other, more prosaic colors: gray and white.
