He’s released some pretty cheesy albums over a 40-disc career, but one thing you can’t knock guitar virtuoso Pat Metheny for is his refusal to stand still. Following on last year’s Orchestrion hall tour of Japan, the Missouri axeman returns for a marathon eight-date engagement at the Blue Note. In the gigs Metheny will be going head to head with bassist Larry Grenadier in evenings sure to feature plenty of material from his new covers album What’s It All About.
