Martin Eden says: “I create a comic called Spandex, which is about an all-gay superteam (I am aiming for a mixed readership). Because of my love for Japan, I decided that the team should head to Japan in issue #2. There they meet Neon, the world’s first gay, fluorescent ninja, and also Gayzilla, Super Bad Giant Kitty, the formidable swords of the Pink Ninjas and, finally, Japan’s very own superteam, The J-Team. Throughout the month of June, I am hosting an online exhibition called Japandex (right), with specially commissioned art celebrating Japanese movies and culture—all with a Spandex twist! You can see some of the latest entries here: www.spandexcomic.com. I would be thrilled if you would like to feature Spandex in your magazine! The comic is creating quite a stir in the UK and has been nominated for a major award for Best British Colour Comic!”
