Tokyo gourmands get a special chance to enjoy the food and wine of Italy’s Piedmont region during a month-long promotion at the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi. The event kicks off with a visit by one of Italy’s hottest chefs, Davide Palluda, chef-owner of the Michelin-starred Ristorante all’Enoteca in Canale. Palluda will host a gala dinner at the hotel’s Ekki Bar & Grill on Saturday, February 26, with wines by Piedmont’s Langa In Wine Committee (¥15,000 plus 10 percent service charge). Through March 24, Ekki will offer a wine pairing menu featuring classy Piedmont dishes like sautéed asparagus with cheese mousse, hazelnuts and black truffle; roasted veal with tuna sauce; jidori risotto; vanilla-spiced braised wagyu tail; and “milk trilogy” with fresh hazelnut chocolate (¥12,800 plus 10 percent service charge).
