Taishi Higashida is on a roll—literally. The 25-year-old Kyoto University grad student is already a celebrity in brain-teaser circles, and last year even released his own Nintendo DS game. Now the inveterate puzzler is walking the length of Japan, handing out his creations to passersby with a cry of “Bira ga pazuru” (the flier is a puzzle). To commemorate his stop in Shizuoka on July 31, local manufacturer Hayashi Paper has bestowed Higashida with the ultimate honor: producing a special toilet roll adorned with his puzzles. If you happen to be in the area on the 31st, the brainiac boffin will be plying the north exit of Shizuoka station from 10-11am, before hitting the fifth station on Mt. Fuji from 2-4pm. The “Bira ga Pazuru no Hito” roll goes on sale at department stores on the same day, priced at ¥126.
