Among the featured acts at Rendez-Vous Live 4 are “talking drum” artist Gabriel from Nigeria, balafon player Ousmane Diedhiou from Senegal, and Japanese singer-songwriter Ami backed by the five-piece Assane Diabaye & Santhibi Band. DJs will spin African and Caribbean styles ranging from makossa and soukous to merengue and salsa. Launched by Prestige Select Entertainment in 2005, Rendez-Vous seeks to promote diversity by shining a light on the growing African diaspora.
