Canadian artist Robin Fry’s paintings and sound experimentations are now on show at the cozy Hiromart Gallery near Waseda University. Currently based in Canada, Fry likes to play with contradictions and create “dramatic uncertainties” between abstract art and graphic design, impressionism and decoration. In his first Japan exhibition, his latest canvasses are displayed along with recordings Fry made for the show under the concept of creating a soundtrack for a fictional, Jamaican-themed vacation planet.

Hiromart Gallery, until Sep 16 (listing).
