Take one big band, put them in an intimate venue, then add three smaller bands whose sound is likely to appeal to the headliner’s fans. Such is the premise of the inaugural Rogue Wave, a new night of Japanese rock dreamed up by NME correspondent Daniel Robson and music publisher Keith Cahoon. Heading up the night are GO!GO!7188 (left), a veteran group whose sound imparts an enka edge to punk. Riding their coattails will be mod girl group Kinoco Hotel, the formidable Molice and rock chanteuse Natccu.
