What: Paradise
Who: Dancer Yumi Yoshimoto, founder of performance group Flowers
Where: Nemoto Shipyard, Kawasaki
When: May 8-9, 7pm
Why: Yoshimoto has been performing Paradise since 2000, roping in different collaborators each time. For the latest version, she’ll be accompanied by avant-garde cellist Hiromichi Sakamoto and percussionist Kosmas Kapitza. The unorthodox location was picked for its inspiring mix of “water, ships, hunks of iron and rust bathed by waves.”
