The Noughties saw underground stencil artists like Banksy take over the streets with irreverent anarcho-punk graffiti that they hoped would topple the whole stinking system. If you’d like to follow in Banksy’s footsteps but don’t fancy nicking your fingers while using a Stanley knife (hey, stenciling isn’t only dangerous when you’re out on the streets), Harac’s Line Cutter is just the thing. Wielded in the same way as a computer mouse, it shields the user from dangerous sharp edges as it cuts elegant shapes with its special rotating blade. It won’t save you from your local policeman when he nabs you for defacing public property, of course, but you probably knew that already.
Harac Line Cutter, ¥1,575. Available from department stores including Tokyu Hands. www.harac.jp
