Oscar-winning former Actor Nicolas Cage continues to dismantle his reputation and career with this ludicrous, TV-level daddy-rampage. This time he’s a fresh ex-con whose teenage daughter (Sami Gayle) has been kidnapped by a former partner in crime and is being held in the trunk of his taxi as a way to get at the loot from the last job, etc. To be fair, Cage is not horrible here, but that might be because he’s actually out-mugged by an extremely bizarre and laughably bad Josh Lucas as the unhinged villain. Perhaps this kind of excess is what former director Simon West considers to be acting. Rubbish.
