Prima Ballerina Irina Kolesnikova and the St. Petersburg Ballet realize their quake-delayed visit to Japan to perform the Tchaikovsky chestnut Swan Lake. Born in St. Petersburg, Kolesnikova was elevated to the top rank of Prima Ballerina within an unprecedented three years of joining the company. Famed for the extraordinary athleticism she brings to roles from Odette/Odile in Swan Lake to Clara in Nutcracker, she recently branched out to contemporary dance, playing Hollywood legend Judy Garland in the West End dance show Divas.
