All the best of the Alpine country

Switzerland is not only about cheese and chocolate. You can find out just what the alpine country has to offer as Swissdays comes to Roppongi Hills. Marking the 150th anniversary of Swiss-Japanese relations, the three-day festival includes musical performances by Eliana Burki & iAlpinisti(pictured), who applies the iconic instrument the alphorn to modern jazz and pop, and Enzian, a yodelling ensemble made up entirely of Japanese members. The “Top of Europe” installation will give visitors a virtual trip from Tokyo to the top of the Jungfrau mountain as well as demonstrations of schwingen, traditional Swiss wrestling that has parallels with sumo. And yes, the country’s most well-known exports will be there, with food stalls selling gooey raclette cheese and hot chocolate aplenty.
