It’s boom time for art fairs in Japan. Not one but two art fairs take over the Spiral building in Aoyama for a week of cutting-edge creations. From late October through early November in the Spiral Garden, the Emerging Directors Art Fair presents art selected by emerging Tokyo curators under age 40. +Plus The Art Fair takes over in the Spiral Hall from Nov 2-4, exhibiting art selected by established galleries like Mizuma and Röntgenwerke AG, both of which have a reputation as launchpads for Japanese artists to international acclaim.
