A British “crypto-zoologist” (Richard Dillane) ventures into darkest Africa in search of a reputed Nessie relative known as Mokele-mbembe. He is conveniently accompanied by a two-camera film crew, and by his stowaway tech-savvy teenage son (Matt Kane), who has brought along a pile of cool little Bluetooth minicams. Conveniently because, you guessed it, the film record will soon be all that’s left of the expedition. This erratically paced, sloppily written and poorly acted little flick offers a few good SFX money shots, but is recommended only for those not yet suffering from found-footage fatigue.
