For those with a sweet tooth but leafy innards, a pastry shop exists to marry your ambivalent cravings. Pastry Potager (2-44-9 Kamimeguro, Meguro-ku; www.potager.co.jp), Meguro slow-food specialist, supports local farmers, “tries” to use organic, pesticide-free produce, and generally acts wholesome. What’s more, they have a monthly veggie cream roll with seasonal greenery. April’s is veggie roll celery (¥2,100), with a sponge containing orange zest and rosehip, and a cream boasting orange alongside the eponymous stick.
