Progressive domestic label Virgin Babylon presents a night that offers a look at some of the more intriguing and experimental bands in its stable. World’s End Girlfriend is a one-man instrumental rock band consisting only of Katsuhiko Maeda, though he sometimes likes to mix it up with other musicians via his Poltergeist Ensemble. Also on the bill are alt-J-pop collective Vampillia, who just toured the U.S. and released their debut album, My Beautiful Twisted Nightmares In Aurora Rainbow Darkness, recorded in Iceland with Bjork’s production team. Filling out the off-the-beaten-path lineup are stablemates Go-qualia, Bronbaba and Bool.
